Assembly Report on ‘Mother’s Day’ of Class II – E
Students of Class II-E presented the Morning Assembly on the theme MOTHER’S DAY on 13.5.2019. They started their assembly with the school prayer followed by the News Headlines and the thought for the day — Life does not come with a manual, it comes with a MOTHER.
The students made their fellow friends aware of the fact that Anna Jarvis was instrumental in dedicating a special day to honour mothers because she believed that a mother is “A person who has done more for you than anyone else in the world”. The audience were told about the significance of this day and how it is celebrated worldwide.
They also made the audience aware that Mothers Day is a celebration honouring one’s own mother, as well as mother hood. This Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May and typically involves small celebrations and gift-giving to one’s mother, grandmother, or other important female figures in one’s own family and society.
The students participated with full enthusiasm as the topic of Assembly was close to their hearts. Students also made placards pertaining to the theme. They recited a few poems on “MOTHER” and also dedicated a song to mothers on Mothers Day.
Students said that the teachers are like their mothers in the school and thanked them for teaching them many things which help them to become better human beings. Primary Incharge Ma’am appreciated the effort of the students and teachers. The students performed the morning fitness workout ‘Zumba’. The Assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
