Topic: Each one teach one
Class IV- F conducted an assembly on 13th July, 2017. The topic for the assembly was “Each one teach one”. The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer followed by the news headlines and the thought of the day.
“The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read.”
Students presented a small skit. The skit highlighted the importance of education and that there is no age bar to educate oneself. Students discussed some of the unfortunate causes of illiteracy in our country such as poor financial standing of families and social barriers such as child marriage and child labour.
Students also shared some steps taken by our government in this direction especially spreading the concept of “Each One Teach One”. It is moral and social responsibility to teach at least one illiterate person in the society. Students appealed to the audience that such initiative can be taken by all the students too. They can educate their domestic workers or their children who don’t go to school. Our Primary Incharge had healthy interaction with the students. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
