Report of Special Assembly – Christmas by II E
On 19thof December,’16, class II E presented an assembly on Christmas.The assembly began with the morning prayer, followed by the news headlines and the thought forthe day-“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind to cherish peace and goodwill, to have plenty of mercy. That is the real spirit of Christmas”.
The students made the audience aware that Christmas is the most important festival of the Christians. It is celebrated on 25th December every year to commemorate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. Through a skit they portrayed that Lord Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph.They also told that people decorate Christmas trees, exchange gifts with their family and friends. They also have a traditional family dinner.
The children came dressed in vibrant, colourfuldresses. They sang carols – ‘Joy to the world’, ‘Jingle Bells’and‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ to celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus. All the children sang along and enjoyed. Some children enchanted the audience with a dance performance. A few children dressed as Santa Claus went around distributing sweets.
Principal Ma’am appreciated the performance of the students. The assembly concluded with Zumba fitness workout followed by the National Anthem.
