Creating Clean Air Champions

Summer Fields School has taken an initiative for creating Clean Air Champions amongst the school children of Delhi and NCR in association with Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) and Forum for Air Quality (FAQ). WHO has ranked Delhi as one of the most polluted cities hence the need to conduct the awareness program so as to disseminate the information to the masses and finding/promoting possible solutions to combat the increasing levels of the pollution.
The students from various schools came to our school for four half-day workshops to provide training to the attendees on the concepts, tools and experiments. The students also created AV films and participated in quiz / group discussions.
An event was organized to mark the conclusion of Phase-1 of the Awareness campaign by Indian Science Congress Association, Delhi Chapter in collaboration with Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) at Arunodaya Public School, VikasMarg, Delhi on 02ndDecember 2016. Fifteen Green School club students of Summer Fields School participated in the ceremony.
Students participated in various categories like audio video presentation, poster making, slogan writing competition. VisheshSahni of VII F and AyushmannChawlaof VII C won 1st prize in AV presentation and Rehat Grover of VIII E won 2nd prize in slogan writing. Our students also presented NukkadNatak signifying the causes and solutions for air pollution.
