READING MAKES A MAN COMPLETE.
23rd April is celebrated as WORLD BOOK DAY all over the world. This day felicitates authors and illustrators of the world. This day also emphasizes on the importance of reading as a good habit and an amazing hobby.
Gandhi House children presented an assembly on WORLD BOOK DAY on 23rd April 2017. They spoke about authors of the past and the present, authors of Hindi books and English books. They also spoke about our school library which is a store house of books and also mentioned some new books such as GERONI MOSTILTON, GOOSEBUMPS, SHAKESPEAR’S COLLECTION, ROALD DAHL and DIARY OF WIMPY KID which each and every child should try and read. A Hindi poem was recited by two children which spoke about the creative skills of poets and authors and the fantasy world they transport us to with their writing skills.
A small quiz was conducted wherein Gandhi house children asked the audience questions about William Shakespeare, J. K. Rowling, Maharishi Vyasa and Maharishi Valmiki. Energizing Zumba dance was enjoyed by one and all.
It was an educative and informative assembly which was enjoyed by everyone.
The assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.
