CLASS ASSEMBLY REPORT
The students of class II E conducted the morning assembly on the topic GURU NANAK JAYANTI on 23rd November 2015.It started with a word of prayer followed by the news headlines andthe thought for the day.
“God is one, but he has innumerable forms. He is the creator of all and he himself takes the human form.” Guru Nanak
Guru Nanak Jayanti is the most sacred festival of the Sikhs. It is celebrated to mark the birthday of Guru Nanak Devji. Guru Nanak Devji was the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism. One of the most important teachings of Guru Nanak Devji includes helping the needy and the poor. He was always ready to help the poor and served food for them.Guru Nanak devji passed the message of universalbrotherhood. He believedin equality of men and women. Guru Nanak Devji also taught that justice is a qualitythat is most important to all human beings.The festival is celebrated with great dedication and devotion across India, mainly in Punjab, Haryana and also by the Sikhs living in the other parts of the world. On this day, celebrationsbegin with the reading of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs for 48hours in the Gurudwara at a stretch.
Students of II Epresented a melodious shabad which was appreciated by one an all.
To conclude the assembly, Inchargema’am elaborated upon the topic Guru Nanak Jayantiand interacted with the students. The assembly concluded with the “National Anthem”.
