INDEPENDEDENCE DAY-CUM-INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony, organised its Investiture Ceremony in true patriotic colours where the School Appointees were sworn in a solemn ceremony. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District,Delhi.
Warmly welcoming the august gathering the School Principal Dr Neeru Suman stated that the School believes in trusting the tremendous energy exuded by the young minds. She further added that people all across the globe have always been fascinated by the grandeur and glory of our mother land. She also reiterated that it is a great honour to salute the National Flag, the colours of which are based on the principle of growth, prosperity, peace and unity.
The Chief Guest felicitated the bright and glittering stars of the School with cash prizes of Rs. 6000/- each who made the School proud by excelling in the Class X and XII C.B.S.E. examination. Sarvagya Rolling Trophy for the best all rounder student of class VI for the session 2015-16 was bagged by Akshita Raina. He also gave away the badges to the new appointees who then took a pledge to shoulder the responsibilities bestowed on them. He appealed to the students to embrace true physical and mental freedom. He also urged them to be vigilant of things and people around and uphold the ideals of our Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi by keeping the city clean.
The cultural extravaganza which comprised a soulful rendition of patriotism songs sung by the choir group and foot tapping dance presentations ‘Maa tujhe salaam’ and ‘The colours of India’ set the tone for the special event. The riveting skit depicting India’s struggle for freedom ignited the spirit of patiotism & freedom. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by the Head Boy and Head Girl.
