ASSEMBLY REPORT ON MOTHER’S DAY
Date – 2.5.2016
Students of Class II-D presented a morning assembly on 2.5.2016 .The topic of the assembly was “MOTHER’S DAY”. The assembly started with the school prayer followed by the News Headlines and the thought for the day –
“God made mothers as he could not be everywhere”. The students enlightened the audience about the significance of this day and how it is celebrated worldwide across countries like U.S.A, Canada, U.K and India. They told that this Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in the month of May. Mother’s Day typically involves small celebrations and gift-giving to one’s own mother, grandmother or other important female figures in one’s own family or society.
Students also made placards pertaining to the theme. Children sang a song in the honour of the mothers’. The students participated with full enthusiasm as the topic of assembly was close to their hearts. Primary Incharge Ma’am appreciated the effort of the students and the teachers.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
