NATIONAL PROJECT CITIZEN SHOWCASING
Project Citizen India (PCI) is a community based programme being worked upon by Classes IX and X . It was started in collaboration with Project Citizen, Calabasas, California and Ramjas School, New Delhi.
Adopted in about 40 different private schools of Delhi (as part of their curriculum), this programme requires the involvement of students in picking up a public policy issue, carry out research on it i.e. finding out the intensity of the problem, existing government policies. They then frame a class policy keeping in view the constitutional validity of the policies and carry out an action plan to solve the problem
On 22nd October, 2016, our school participated in the National Project Citizen Showcasing, hosted by RamjasSchool,R.K.Puram. Our school team ,’The Blue Rangers’, under the guidance of Ms. DebjaniMitra, gave their presentation on the topic ‘Water Security’, on which they had done extensive work. They gave an excellent and enthralling presentation, impressing the judges. They bagged the award of ‘Best Documentation’, which is the third position in the competition.
