OUR BLOOMING BUDS
NEWSLETTER: PRE-SCHOOL-OCTOBER 2013
Children have to be educated but they have also to be left to educate themselves
We at Summer Fields believe that the entire purpose of education is to broaden the vistas of knowledge so that the horizon of learning is approached with great zeal and zest. The itinerary for the month of September focused on numerous activities along with a lot of fun and frolic. It was heartwarming to see children preparing beautiful cards on ‘Teacher’s Day’. Pre-Schoolers participated with great fervour in the ‘Hindi Recitation Competition’. It was a feast for the eyes to see young ones don the garb of Radha, Krishna and Gopies for Janamashtmi celebrations. The children displayed a great interest in the discussion on healthy eating habits and savoured the `Bhelpuri’ made in `Kiddies Kitchenette’. The visit to ` Iskcon Temple’was an enjoyable one. In `Science Experience’ the activity `Magnifying Glass Fun’ helped them to elucidate the usage of a magnifying glass . The ‘Show and Tell’ on `Traffic Rules and Me’ was organized to enhance confidence, knowledge, vocabulary and oratory skills of the children.
The month of October heralds the onset of festivities which are deeply engrained in the Indian culture and tradition. Children will have the Dussehra celebrations to look forward to. In ` Kiddies Kitchenette’ they will prepare `Monaco Biscuit Snack’. This fireless cooking activity will give them a chance to show their culinary skills.
A `Show and Tell’ on `My Favourite Animal’ is also on the cards. The theme of the month being `Animals’ the pupils will be given value education on the love and care that we need to bestow on them.
We also have the `Fun with Numbers Competition’ to inculcate a competitive spirit in our toddlers.
We wish you all a very `HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS DUSSEHRA AND DIWALI’ and look forward to your continuous support and cooperation.
With warm regards.
