OUR BLOOMING BUDS
NEWSLETTER : PRE-SCHOOL – FEBRUARY,2014
“Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression”.
“If winter comes, can spring be far behind”
The frosty chill of winters is on the ebb. Let us gear up to bid farewell to the winter season and welcome the onset of spring.
The month of January was sprinkled with a number of activities and special occasions. The theme for the month was ‘Seasons’. The children were familiarized with the different types of weather. ‘Lohri’ was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. ‘Republic Day’ was marked by singing of patriotic songs and a special assembly. In ‘Kiddies Kitchenette’ children learnt to make a ‘Sprout Salad’ which reinforced the habit of doing away with junk food and eating healthy food. In ‘Science Experience’ the children were astonished to see a seed grow into a baby plant through the activity ‘Germination of Seeds’. A handwriting competition ‘Fun With Letters’ was also organized. In ‘Show And Tell’ children spoke on the topic ‘Away With Pollution’to sensitize them to issues on pollution. An outing to the zoo was a thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening experience for the little ones.
A multitude of activities have been planned for our Pre-Schoolers for the month of February. In `Science Experience` the children will be fascinated to see the different shapes and colours that water can take on in ‘Fun with Water’. In ‘Kiddies Kitchenette’ our little chefs will
prepare a ‘Channa Chaat’ to tingle their taste buds . To help our scholars develop their fine motor skills a competition on`Origami` (paper folding) will be held.
In `Show And Tell` our little ones will speak on `Electrical Appliances` to inculcate an awareness on the use of electrical appliances. Environment and community welfare is the concern of today. In ‘Value Education’ the children will be taught how to protect our environment.
An Open House will be held on 15th February,2014 to discuss the progress of our blooming buds. Pre-School will also celebrate `Meet the Principal Day’ which will have a 100% participation of all the pre-school children.
Looking forward to your continued support and cooperation.
