TOPIC: METRO: OUR LIFE LINE
Rapid transit, also known as heavy rail, metro, subway, tube or underground, is a type of high capacity public transport generally found in urban areas.
The assembly of 25th April is aimed at informing the students about the benefits of Metro. It is among the best, most convenient and comfortable mode of daily commuting for the public. The assembly started with a poem in which the students enacted and informed the audience through thedramatics about the convenience Metro provides and the rude contrast between the comfort of traveling via Metro and otherwise.Thereafter, national, international, weather, and SFS news were read out. It was followed by the salient features of Metro, where the students were personified as Metro compartments and educated the pupil about the etiquettes of travelling and maintaining the high standards of Metro i.e. do’s and don’ts, which attracted students’ attention. At the end of assembly, Satvika Shriydarshini of 8th F was honored by the Principal as she secured 2nd prize in the poster making competition on the theme of “Sustainable Earth”organized by Indian Environmental Society.
