YOUNG ARYABHATTAS FELICITATED
Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony felicitated the budding Mathematicians who excelled in the prestigious 34th Aryabhatta Inter School Mathematics Competition which aims to generate interest in the subject.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest Mrs.Manisha Saxena, Divisional Commissioner, Delhi, Guest of Honour Dr.Jai Dev Gupta, Chairman, Summer Fields School, Principal Dr.Neeru Suman and other dignitaries.
Extending a hearty welcome to the distinguished guests, the School Principal apprised the audience of the history of this most sought after competition which promotes logical thinking and analytical approach. She further added that it was commendable that over three thousand students from 140 schools took the exam this year. She also stated that the year 2017 also witnessed another milestone as the exam was introduced for class XI as well and it reached out to students as far as Mumbai. She congratulated all the young prodigies for being crowned with exceptional success in an immensely exceptional competition and expressed her faith that magic of Mathematics will keep resonating in every heart.
The Class V Winners Trophy was bagged by Modern Delhi Public School, Faridabad and runners up trophy was lifted by Delhi Public School, Faridabad. The proud recipients of class VIII trophy were the students of Delhi Public School, Faridabad and runners up went to Modern Delhi Public School, Faridabad. The Mathematical wizards who proved their prowess in Class XI ‘Aryabhatta Hall of Fame’ were Modern Delhi Public School students and runners up Trophy was bagged by Modern Vidya Niketan School, Aravali Hills.
Addressing the august gathering the honourable Chief Guest Mrs. Manisha Saxena expressed her exhilaration on being a part of their momentous ceremony and congratulated the prize winners for their grit and determination. She further added that no problem in life is insurmountable and Mathematics teaches us to break a problem into several small parts, analyse it and make it doable. She inspired the young minds to excel and strive for excellence in all arenas of their life.
A precursor to the entire event was a cultural extravaganza which left the audience awe struck whether it was the soulful English song ‘ Tell Me Why’ or vibrant dance performance, the audience was left enthralled. The Nukkad Natak enveloped the entire atmosphere in an air of introspection. The programme culminated with the vote of Thanks.
