HARD AND SOFT
A tray of items was given to the students which included hard things like a book, a wooden object, a plastic toy and soft things like a stuffed animal, a squishy ball, foam, play dough etc.Then the kids were invited to select items from the tray. They felt and squeezed the objects to determine if they were hard or soft. While they did this, they were told how soft objects can be squished in our hands, but hard objects cannot.The kids determined whether each object was hard or soft and placed them into separate ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ piles.
