PRE – SCHOOL NEWLETTER
“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” — Mahatma Gandhi
The month of October was dotted with festivals and festivity was in the air. Our little ones enjoyed the Autumn Break and a number of interesting activities in school.
The children enthusiastically made puppets of Ravana to celebrate Dussehra. The story of Ramayana was also narrated to emphasize and make them comprehend that ‘Good always prevails over Evil’.
Diwali was celebrated by decorating the classroom and the corridors. The children also made beautiful Diwali cards. They were sensitized about the harmful effects of crackers and were motivated to say ‘No to Crackers’.
In KiddiesKitchenette the teacher demonstrated how to make bhelpuri with onion ,tomato and chutney. This was savoured by all children. The activity also helped to inculcate healthy eating habits.
Our little ones participated very enthusiastically in the competition ‘Fun with Numbers’. Children were asked to identify and cross out numbers that were called out. This activity helped them learn and have fun at the same time.
A Show and Tell activity was organized on My Favourite Animal. Children confidently spoke a few sentences on their favourite animal and brought colourful pictures to show. The confidence exhibited by the children was heartwarming.
The wonders of science were explored with ‘Mixing Fun’ in ‘Science Experience’. The children were amazed to see how two different colours blend together to make a new colour.
