78th Independence Day Celebration

Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony successfully celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 14th August 2024 marked with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The Chief Guest, Ms. Pratibha Chaudhary, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (IRS) graced the occasion with her benign presence. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem with zeal and reverence, spurring a deep sense of national pride.

The lighting of the ceremonial lamp amidst the chanting of shlokas set a solemn and reverent tone for the event, symbolizing the guiding light of knowledge and freedom. The Chief Guest, Ms. Pratibha Chaudhary, IRS was then felicitated in a traditional manner, acknowledging her esteemed presence and contribution to the celebration.

The Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech that highlighted the importance of independence and the role of the younger generation in shaping the nation’s future. Her words motivated the students to cherish and uphold the values of freedom and responsibility. She expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Guest and shared her pride in being an Indian citizen. She highlighted the importance of remembering our forefathers, whose sacrifices have filled our lives with pride and gratitude. The struggles of our freedom fighters were acknowledged, emphasizing the values of equality, liberty, and the strength found in our diversity. The Principal, further reaffirmed the school’s commitment to teaching unity in diversity, encouraged students to draw inspiration from freedom fighters, and reminded them not to wait for others to change but to be the change themselves.  

The celebration continued with a beautiful musical symphony that showcased the talent of the school’s music department. This was followed by a thought-provoking presentation by students of Cambridge School, which shed light on the journey towards independence and its significance in the contemporary world.

A captivating dance presentation titled “Love for the Country” was then performed, depicting the spirit of patriotism through graceful and energetic movements. The Chief Guest, Ms. Pratibha Chaudhary addressed the audience, sharing insightful thoughts on the nation’s progress and the importance of unity and dedication among its citizens.

 

The program also featured a patriotic song, “Lyrical Fervor for the Country,” which resonated with the audience, evoking feelings of national pride and solidarity. The event concluded with a Hindi skit titled “Balidaan ki Kahani,” portraying the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The skit was performed with deep emotion and sincerity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The Independence Day celebration at Summer Fields School was a heartfelt tribute to the nation, reflecting the school’s commitment to instilling patriotic values in its students.
