The leprechauns came visiting the pristine Summer Fields School grounds, drawn by the enchanting Winter Carnival held on 7 December 2024. The event was declared open by our honourable Chairman, Mr. Inder Dev Gupta, in the presence of our esteemed Director, Mr. Rahul Gupta, revered Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal and respected Cambridge Head, Ms. Neera Kanojia. We were honored to have Ms. Prachi Mehta from Cambridge University as our guest of honor, along with honoured delegates from Somalia, who graced the occasion with their presence. They thoroughly appreciated the captivating transformation of the various playing courts into a winter wonderland and joined in the festivities.
The ball was set rolling with the mesmerizing symphony presented by the school’s supremely talented Western Music Choir. The tinselled game stalls, the delectable snacks, myriad counters laden with veritable goodies, the shimmering rides, the curios glinting invitingly, the divine carols, the echoing laughter of merry children, the aromatic candles, the shouts of the jubilant winners and much more, made it a veritable fairy land for all. Engineering a mini earthquake were the super charged dancers on the dance floor led by the live band ‘Shivlive’.
Another exciting highlight was the ‘Lucky Draw’ with multitudes of very precious gifts, offered by the generous sponsors. The star of the show, garnering maximum applause, was the ‘Nativity Play’ put up by The Theatre Group of Summer Fields International. The scintillating performance by the tiny thespians, made the poignant Christmas spirit, come alive. The event, upholding the value of shared joy and bliss, was a resounding success, vouched for by the delighted throngs of guests.
The Principal Ms Shalini Agarwal expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, sponsors, and participants for making the event a memorable one.
