Children’s Day was celebrated with vigour and enthusiasm by the children and teachers of Summer Field s School on 14 November 2024. The day is observed to honour our first prime minister, who adored children and is affectionately known as ‘Chacha Nehru’.
The Children’s Day celebration began with a light-hearted assembly on Children’s Day dedicated to the students. The school Principal, Mrs.Shalini Agarwal addressed the children and shared a few words of wisdom. An introduction about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru set off the proceedings followed by a power packed performance by the students, which included Yoga, Nukkad Natak, recitation of poems, singing and dancing. Special Assembly was followed by Magic Show , Puppet Show, Craft Activity and a ‘Class party.’
The day, was commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm, and magnificence as it was time to PARTY for the children of our school. It was a fun- filled day for the students as they danced to peppy numbers in the break and shared their delicious food with their classmates. There was excitement in the air and the little ones left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school. The celebrations came to an end with the distribution of mini chocolate cakes in the classes as a small token of love and affection by the school.
