Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality
With this inspiring quote, Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony conducted the Investiture and ‘Scholar Badge Ceremony’ for the ‘Junior Wing’on 9th May 2025. The event was a grand celebration of academic excellence and leadership, marked by the enthusiastic participation of students, staff, and proud parents.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests Rahul Gupta, Ms. Pooja Shroff and our esteemed alumni Rajat Dawar (Sr. Research Portfolio Manager, Harvard University batch-1996), students, and parents. This was followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp and Invocation Ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering of knowledge and wisdom. The sacred chanting of the Gayatri Mantra created a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
The Chief Guest was then cordially welcomed and honoured for their gracious presence. Following this, the Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal, addressed the gathering. She appreciated the relentless efforts of students and the continuous support of their parents. In her inspiring speech, she emphasized that patience, persistence, and perseverance are the key to success. She further shared that peace and love hold great power, and urged everyone to believe in themselves, reinforcing that self-confidence is the foundation of achievement. She reminded the audience that a good leader is calm, visionary, and keeps the team united.
The newly appointed council members were then introduced to the audience. These students had successfully gone through the election process and personal interviews, proving their capability and leadership qualities. Their names and designations were proudly announced amidst applause.
A melodious song ‘If you Believe’ was beautifully performed by the school choir. The students sang with harmony and conviction, delivering a powerful message of unity, determination, and youthful energy. The soulful lyrics and the emotional resonance of the music deeply moved the audience and added a beautiful rhythm to the event.
The ceremony then moved to the Pinning of the Badges, where the council members were formally conferred with their responsibilities. Each badge represented trust, dedication, and the promise of service. This was followed by the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the Principal administered the pledge. The students solemnly vowed to carry out their duties with sincerity, integrity, and the best of their abilities.
A spirited Motivational Dance performance was presented next, showcasing the vibrance, creativity, and enthusiasm of the students. It not only energised the audience but also reflected the essence of motivation and teamwork.
After the cultural segment, the newly elected Head Boy, Mohd Haneef, and Head Girl, Aalia Khan, addressed the gathering. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Principal and teachers for reposing faith in them. They also assured everyone of their commitment to uphold the values of the school and lead with honour and dedication.
The event continued with the distribution of Scholar Certificates, acknowledging and celebrating the academic achievements of meritorious students. Each award was a testament to consistent effort, discipline, and passion for learning.
The Academic Coordinator, Ms. Shweta Dimri, proposed the vote of thanks. Her words were filled with motivational insights and appreciation for the school’s holistic approach to education, extending gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the ceremony.
Finally, the gathering stood together for the National Anthem, marking the dignified closure of a memorable and inspiring morning.
