‘Maths Week’ was organised for Grade I to V from 22nd July 2024 to 26th July 2024.
The aim of this week was to enhance observation, mental and analytical skills among children so that they can successfully use Maths in real life situations.
The students of Classes I to V participated in the various activities based on maths in their daily life with great zeal and enthusiasm. The various activities were as follows:
- Class 1 – Fun with Shapes
- Class II – Abacus Adventure
- Class III – Symmetry Art
- Class IV – Clock Making
- Class V – Warli Art with Geometrical Shapes.
After doing all these activities the phobia about Maths in the minds of children changed into a pleasing and peaceful thought.
INTRA CLASS MENTAL MATHS COMPETITION was conducted for Classes I-V in order to assess the Mathematical skills of the students with varying degree of difficulty. The questions tested the mental abilities, accuracy and speed of the students as they attempted the questions based on a variety of concepts like addition, subtraction, place value, time, comparison of numbers, number patterns etc.
