PROJECT GENESIS HIV AND AIDS AWARENESS WORKSHOP

Under Project Genesis , interns Shunki Tanaka from Japan, Katherine from China, Maria from Bulgaria and Julia from Brazil visited Summer Fields School and conducted an awareness workshop for the students of classes XI and XII on 6th August, 2011.

FACE TO FAITH…

Students of Std. IX-XI are involved in an initiative of The Tony Blair Faith foundation, Face to Faith. This is a global High School Programme that encourages peer teaching and learning and is focused upon the critical issues of Faith, Religion and Identity.

GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAMME

A delegation from Zambia , comprising of sixteen students and three teachers from the International School of Lusaka in Zambia (of 11 nationalities) along with two Green Contributor(Canada based organization), representatives, visited Summer Fields School Kailash Colony from 18th to 21st October 2011.

On 18th October’11,Students and teachers from SFS along with the Zambian students and teachers visited Zambian High Commission at New Delhi .

On 20th October’11 Zambian students along with Summerites recorded the song “Change the World”written and composed by the students from International school of Lusaka. It talks about creating a better world with less pollution and that is the solution to our problems.This song has become part of the school curriculum.

BRIDGING INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARIES…

JENESYS (The Japan-East Asia network of exchange for students and youth programme )

The department of school education and Literacy (Secondary Scholarship Section), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched the programme JENESYS. Under this programme our student PRACHI GUPTA of std XI visited Japan from 5th June to 14th June 2011 . Another student NIDHI JAIN also visited Japan in the month of Dec. 2011.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION…

Project Title- The Projectile Motion Conundrum

Mohit Singhla's video from Summer Fields School made it through the competition organised by youtube and lenovo along with sponsors like SPACE agency in cooperation with NASA. Mohit Singhla is 1 amongst the 2 students from India to reach that level.

CHINH CHINH India Kids Film Festival

22 students from Summer Fields School from different age groups from 4years to 17 years were selected as a part of national jury of 1000 kids from 55 schools in three categories to decide CHINH awards. This year, international jury of the festival joined in from various parts of the globe including Russia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Itlay, Denmark, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Korea. Kids Joined the screenings of exceptional, impressive, motivating, touching and sometimes brutally honest children films

AISEC IN SUMMER FIELDS SCHOOL

AISEC-Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales is a global youth organization that develops leadership capabilities through their internal leadership programs and engaging students and graduates in international student exchange and internship programs for profit and non-profit organizations.
PROJECT AKSHAR
Two Interns, one from china and one from Africa visited our school .Besides teaching English language skills to our students from classes I to X these Interns also educated our students about their culture, their country and their education system.
