Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony, became part of the Global community of enterprising schools and the bar was pushed higher, when School Enterprise Challenge, “Teach A Man To Fish” honoured Ms Meera Aggarwal with the Runner Up Inspirational Teacher Award for her outstanding contribution to the International Social Enterprise Project.
Mrs. Meera Aggarwal was also felicitated by the British Council for her outstanding performance in the School Enterprise Challenge at the Awards Ceremony organised at Kolkata.
The ceremony was attended by school education policy makers from over eight countries including Afghanistan, Taiwan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Palestine territories. Eminent guests from Government and Non-Government sector were a part of the ceremony.
She also attended the Conference on supporting Action Research and Reflective Practices in the classroom there.
The conference created awareness among school leaders about the challenges schools are likely to encounter as we approach the second quarter of this millennium and to put forward the idea that reflective practice and action research by skilled teachers is the way forward in keeping schools relevant in a changing world.
