The ‘Investiture and Scholar Badge Ceremony’ held on 10 May 2024 in Summer Fields School marked a pivotal moment in the academic calendar. With a palpable sense of anticipation, students, faculty, and esteemed guests gathered to witness the formal Investiture of leadership roles and responsibilities.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by all the dignitaries and invoking the blessings of God while the school choir sang the Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by the students. Principal Ms Shalini Agarwal welcomed the dignitaries with an affable speech.
The Chief Guests Mr. Aman Mittal, IRS Addl. Private Secretary to Hon. Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and Dr.Deepika Mittal, Mentor Mr. Rahul Gupta, Principal Ms Shalini Agarwal and Vice Principal Ms. Shweta Oberoi took to the stage to confer positions to the appointees for the Academic Session 2024-2025.
Notable moments included the oath-taking ceremony, where newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold the ideals of their positions, and the presentation of badges and sashes, which sparked pride and applause among recipients and their peers. Each role symbolized not just authority, but a commitment to serve the school community with integrity and dedication. The Head Boy, Anav Malhotra and the Head Girl, Raima Seal gave stirring speeches thanking the jury for giving them this opportunity and underscored the importance of leadership, emphasizing values of responsibility, empathy, and collaboration.
Following the Investiture Ceremony, the Scholar Badge Ceremony honoured academic excellence and achievement. Held with equal pomp and enthusiasm, this event celebrated the intellectual prowess of students who had distinguished themselves through diligent study and scholarly pursuits.
