Earth Day

On 18th April 2024 students of Class V-A&B presented a special assembly on ‘Earth Day’, showcasing the need for judicious use of natural resources for our future generations and how our actions whether good or bad will etch the future of our planet.

Vice Principal Ms. Shweta Oberoi welcomed parents who joined us for the assembly. She emphasized on how such class presentations are necessary for a creating a steadfast bond with our parents and contribute immensely in development of our children.

 The assembly started with an inspiring thought followed by a Sanskrit Shlok emphasizing on remaining focussed on our goals followed by a melodious song, thought-provoking Hindi skit and a captivating dance performance by our students. The cultural narration accentuated on ways to save Earth. A brief insight about the inception of this day along with ways this day is celebrated across the world was informative. A sapling was planted by our Principal Ms. Shalini Aggarwal, Vice Principal Ms. Shweta Oberoi, Academic Coordinator Ms. Shweta Dimri and our few parents. A pledge was made to mark our school’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Assemblies are a great platform to acknowledge students for their exemplary achievements, keeping this objective in mind Anindita Parira was awarded with the ‘Best Reader Award’ in the Primary Section by our Principal Ms Shalini Aggarwal. During her address to the audience, she emphasized that nothing can substitute reading and motivated students to adopt reading as a habit. In her further address she stated that it’s imperative for parents to inculcate moral values amongst students. Teachers who were instrumental in presenting this assembly were applauded by Principal ma’am for their remarkable contribution for organising the event.

 The assembly concluded with vote of thanks by Academic Coordinator Ms Shweta Dimri. She thanked the school management and all the dignitaries for their constant support and guidance and appreciated the efforts put in by our students. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
